As part of my work at UPenn’s C4R, I...

• develop educational materials teaching principles of scientific rigor to PhD students
• collaborate with professors at various universities
• travel to all sorts of conferences (come see us at SfN!)

Road to Rigor...

• initial testing unit
• lab meeting version provides basic intro to scientific rigor
• full version teaches how to become a rigor advocate/activist

Correct & Readable Scientific Code...

• developed in collaboration with team @ Harvard Medical School
• covers overview of practices, techniques, tools that improve code
• e.g. SOLID, code testing, version control, etc

Controls...

• developed in collaboration with team @ Virginia Tech
• introduction to experimental controls (negative, positive, time, etc)
